Phoenix at the Beach

The original is from when I was 16 and had no concept of layers when it came to traditional art. Like I think I knew it was a thing in the back of my head but at the same time it just never accrued to me to do it. It's one of those smack yourself in the head when you are older because duh you were an idiot kind of things. But I had a lot of fun with this even if my hand hurt afterwards. I'm very light handed when I draw and color so it took a LOT of layers and a Ton more pressure then I was used to using to make sure this was as solid as I could get it.
