Reach for the Sun

I took a sketch I did in May of 2019 and digitized it. This is my first official art of the new year! I love the game Okami it's so beautiful and always makes me want to draw when playing it. Waka is definitely a favorite of mine, I need more of him in my life.
I originally had it be a little longer but there was a lot of dead space so I cut it shorter but I was trying to go for a bit of a wall scroll type of look. I think it still gives that feeling a bit. I am really happy with how this came out the only hing I'd change is maybe keeping more of the original angle I had with the sketch but I wouldn't have been able to do the sort of wall scroll thing so it was one or the other.
